Organic Carrot - Flyaway F1
An F1 Hybrid is the result of hand pollination between two parent plants, resulting in a plant with better performance, pest and disease resistance bred into it through natural methods.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Sowing March to July, at monthly intervals for continuous crops, in a well prepared sunny spot. Sow thinly 13mm deep, in broad drills 30cm apart.
Growing Thinning not necessary for ‘bunching carrots’. For larger roots thin to 25mm apart. Keep well watered.
Harvesting June to October as required. Later sowings for maturing in the autumn can be lifted and stored in trays of dry sand or compost in the shed or garage.
ORGANIC GARDENING:
In order to continue the organic life cycle of these seeds, gardeners should follow recognised organic growing methods, avoiding the use of artificial fertilisers and pesticides.
