Our History
Walkers Shortbread Ltd is a family company founded in 1898 by Joseph Walker. The company is still run by Joseph’s grandchildren and great grandchildren, who maintain the tradition of producing the finest shortbreads, biscuits, cakes and oatcakes to the original recipes.
Walkers Shortbread is the leading brand worldwide of pure butter shortbreads and other baked Scottish specialities such as mince pies and rich fruitcakes. Walkers are the only UK food manufacturer to have won the Queens Award for Export Achievement on three occasions.
Our Location
Walkers is based in the picturesque village of Aberlour on the banks of the River Spey in the heart of the Scottish Highlands.

Our Production Methods
Walkers source only the best ingredients available and our products are guaranteed to be free from artificial flavourings, colourings and additives.
Our biscuits are baked in small batches largely to order to preserve their classic taste and unique character.
Our People
We are very proud of the people who work in our business. One of our most interesting facts is that of our 20 senior managers half of them have worked for the company all their working lives.
In many cases entire families: grandparents, parents, sons and daughters are employed in our bakeries.
Our Products

Walkers produces a variety of delicious organic biscuits for Duchy Originals, from the Oaten Biscuit, which was the first Duchy Originals product to classic Highland Shortbread and indulgent Chocolate Biscuits with Stem Ginger and Chocolate Orange Biscuits.
