Lemon Curd
Our lemon curd is made to a traditional recipe with organic eggs, butter and Sicilian lemons. It is a smooth rich curd with a sharp zest. Delicious served in pies and puddings, on ice-cream or yogurt or even by the spoonful straight from the jar. It is hand made in Somerset.

Lemon Curd
Spare a thought for Crabtree & Evelyn, the company that makes our lemon curd. Each batch has to be stirred continuously for 45 minutes to make sure it’s heated through perfectly.
After 11 years making lemon curd for us, that’s a lot of stirring. It’s also the kind of dedication we look for from our producers – an attitude and determination that gets the best possible food without short cuts.
Unlike other lemon curds, there’s no margarine, no bits of egg and no artificial flavouring. Instead it’s simply whole organic eggs and butter from the UK, organic sugar, a touch of fruit pectin to set it, and organic lemon juice and lemon oil from the lush, terraced citrus groves of Sicily.
Compared to the other jams and marmalades that Crabtree & Evelyn make for us, the butter means lemon curd has a short shelf life – no more than nine months.
Open a jar and taste it, though, and we seriously doubt you’ll take that long to finish it.
