The Prince's Charities Foundation

We donate our profits to The Prince’s Charities Foundation, which was founded by HRH The Prince of Wales in 1979. The Prince established the Foundation to enable him to help support a variety of charitable causes and projects.

The Prince’s Charities Foundation is a grant-making charity which supports a wide range of causes and projects by making charitable donations. Profits from Duchy Originals, the Highgrove shops and other social enterprises within The Prince’s Charities are donated to the Foundation.

The Foundation receives an ever-increasing number of requests for assistance. Donations are made to an extensive variety of causes working with environmental issues, health and hospices, community and welfare, education, heritage, the built environment and charities supporting servicemen and women.

Thanks to your support, a donation from the sale of Duchy Originals from Waitrose products is given to The Prince's Charities Foundation. More than £1 million is raised annually in this way for distribution to charitable causes, including supporting British farmers and rural communities, and of which £75,000 goes to The Prince's Countryside Fund.
